How do you measure a year? No, really….How do YOU do it? Some do it by events that happened or sales seasons at work. Then others don’t measure it at all. Do you need to measure it? 525,600 minutes seems like a lot, but then again we all say time flies. With all that is entailing our world today, we need to do some things in our lives to help alleviate worries. Here are things I do and can be done right here in York.
SWEAT– workout! Go to some creative classes like those at S3 Performance. Do some physical activity. Then relax. Positive innovative ideas will just pop up.
READ–Reading gives you a mental boost. Challenge yourself. Read about something new whether it be in your work field or just because. A good book to start with is “How to stop worrying and start living.”
PLAN– Start planning on how to get to certain goals. Do a plan for each. In a time of uncertainty, there is no better opportunity to change courses. Plan while you SWEAT or READ. Kill two birds with one stone.
SMILE– It’s Contagious and always seems to change the mood of a conversation for the better. Here is a great article about Smiling
So again, How do you measure a year? Take time for yourself or include your significant other. Find comfort and relaxation from stress and worries. It is easier to worry and be angry than wake up positive and help right some things today! SWEAT, READ, PLAN, SMILE.
